Pink Neighborhood started with a business idea that blossomed into many ideas, which I brought together. For a long time I wanted to go into business for myself, and was getting hung up on trying to find one thing to focus on. I do a few things well, so I decided to go ahead and do those things and present them in one arena - this web site.
I have been painting my own furniture for years, and one day I thought: "Why not sell PAINTED FURNITURE?" So I started painting lots of furniture and posting it on the web. I am always open to new ideas. I offer unique painted CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES, including lamp shades, silk ties, bags and purses, and pet supplies. My items are featured in local retail stores, and I take a sampling of items to arts and crafts fairs every winter holiday season. I admire the green company and strive constantly to be earth-friendly. I paint old furniture, gently used clothing, shoes, decorative wood items, seashells, and found or discarded items. I use flowers and other unusual items as paint applicators.
My greatest passion is SINGING. My first solo CD, entitled AN EXPANSIVE PLACE, is due out by the end of 2009. I have invited other artists and craftspeople to join Pink Neighborhood. In this way the creative network expands, helping artisans increase their exposure and online shoppers find unique hand-crafted gifts and services. Some of the arts, crafts and services you may find on this site include custom GIFT BASKETS, JEWELRY, PAINTINGS, MUSIC, WEDDING PLANNING, and REIKI energy healing. See the Our Artists page for information.
The most important things to me are music, art, spirituality, being good to the earth, doing what you love, and spending all the time you can with those you love. I hope this resonates with you, and you find something here you can use. Thanks for stopping by.
